When the Dojo Moves for the Planet: Arena Fitness Dojo in One Tree, One Movement

What does environmental advocacy look like when you don't have land to plant on? And that image is beautiful. It is real and necessary and good. However, it is not the only answer to that question; and for a long time, the martial arts world has been leaving its own answer on the table. When One Tree, One Movement came to us — a global campaign by the Martial Arts Coalition for Sustainable Development uniting dojos and academies across Africa, Asia, Latin America, and the Caribbean — my first honest thought was: we don't have a tree to plant. Not in the traditional sense. No patch of earth, no scheduled greening day, no community garden on standby. Albeit, I sat with it and I realized that what we had was actually more aligned with the campaign's spirit...

This June, Coach Arra Jeuneze Corpuz joined the Institute of Pulmonary Medicine of St. Luke's Medical Center – Global City as the featured speaker and movement facilitator for their Tai Chi Energy Flow wellness demonstration , part of the hospital's celebration of National Pulmonary Rehabilitation Day 2026 .  June 2026 marked a defining chapter for Arena Fitness Dojo, Arena Aikido Club, and Wushu Arena Philippines. In a single month, the organization moved from community seminar rooms to government showcases to national recognition — weaving together environmental advocacy, public performance, and UN-aligned achievement into one cohesive statement about what martial arts can truly be. This is the story of how a small but relentless dojo proved, once again, that movement is for every body — and for every cause that matters. Your Body, Your Planet: Arena Fitness Dojo Joins the Global World Environment Day Campaign When the Martial Arts Coalition for Sustainable Development (MCS) — the global UN SDG-aligned body of which Arena Fitness Dojo is the first and only Philippine member — issued its call to action for World Environment Day 2026, we answered with everything we had. Under our custom campaign theme "Your Body, Your Planet," Arena Fitness Dojo launched a multi-phase mobil...
