Taichi for All Ages — Join Us Live at Met Live Pasay This March 28
If you have ever told yourself that Taichi is not for you — that it is too slow, too advanced, too old-fashioned, or simply not your thing — this article is for you. On March 28, 2026, Wushu Arena Philippines is bringing a free, open-to-all Taichi session to the GF Atrium of Met Live, Met Park, Pasay City, from 5PM to 7PM, and we want you there.
What Is Taichi and Why Does It Work for Everyone?
Taichi is a form of slow, deliberate movement rooted in Traditional Chinese Martial Arts. Unlike high-impact exercise, it places no stress on the joints, requires no prior fitness level, and can be practiced by children as young as four and adults well into their seventies and beyond. It improves balance, reduces stress, sharpens focus, and builds a quiet kind of strength that most people don't expect from a martial art.
This is exactly why Taichi is one of the fastest-growing wellness practices in the world — and why we have made it a cornerstone of what we teach at Wushu Arena Philippines and in every community event we bring it to.
Who Will Be on the Mat with You
This session is not just a demonstration. You will be moving alongside some of the most decorated Taichi practitioners in our community. Coach Arra Jeuneze Corpuz, head coach and internationally recognized martial arts educator, MCS advocate, and two-time Excellent Coach Awardee, will be leading the session. Joining her is Coach Ishy Tantiangco, a four-time international gold medalist and accomplished Taichi performer. Also on the mat are Sha Liwanag, a seven-time international gold medalist across Hong Kong and Chengdu competitions, and Luyi Corpuz, a five-time international gold medalist — at just six years old.
You will not find a more credentialed free Taichi class anywhere in Metro Manila this weekend.
How to Join for Free
Attendance is completely free. Simply present a single or accumulated receipt worth at least ₱500 from any Blue Bay Walk or Met Live establishment and register in advance via this link: https://bit.ly/MLEarthHourFitFest. This event is part of the Earth Hour Fit Fest hosted by Met Live and Federal Land, running from March 20 to 28, 2026.
No Experience Needed — Just Show Up
You do not need a uniform, prior training, or any fitness background. Taichi is movement for every body — the young, the elderly, the busy, the stressed, and everyone in between. Whether you are a curious first-timer, a parent bringing your child, or a senior looking for gentle and purposeful movement, there is a place for you on the mat.
Come early, wear comfortable clothes, and bring your receipt. We will take care of the rest.
